Pure black roses are impossible to get. Believe us, we’ve tried! Midnight roses are the closest you can naturally get. And they’re not black. More a deep, deep burgundy. Beautiful, nonetheless.
But there is something darkly romantic about a black rose. Something wicked.
We recently had to prepare some displays for a 3oth birthday party and the client wanted black roses. So with a few spray cans, off we went.
There is something odd about the process – spraying a beautiful fresh rosebud black – but the results are undeniably beautiful. Sort of the new artificial flower. An urban bloom…!
We thought we’d share some pics with you.
They’d also be perfect for Hallowe’en.
More black blossoms to come as we’re currently working on an interesting project with an art collective.
